The Big Bang Theory

Here's the little U.S. sitcom that you never see getting mentioned. These days the world and his wife queues up to tell you how great 30 Rock is, and nothing else seems to get a mention. Well here's some news for you, this year The Big Bang Theory has been funnier than 30 Rock. Yes, you read that right.

Not to say that 30 Rock isn't any good, but the immense levels of the first two seasons have slipped this year, and an irritating tendency for pointless celebrity cameos has started to dilute the formula. But not so with TBBT. It's about a group of nerds who live together and their attempts to integrate with the real world. But I don't believe in trying to describe this stuff. Just pop along and see a few episodes. I think we've known each other long enough that you'll take this one on trust from me.

Good show, though I stopped watching it after about ten episodes as I guessed they were unlikely to do anything to rattle the status quo - am I wrong?
Not that I'm knocking it, it's good solid stuff - reminds me of a junior version of Frasier in the dynamic between the characters.
(Verification word is 'peepac', is that something you need as old age creeps up on you?)

Yeah, junior Frasier is a good comparison. But no they haven't messed with the formula, which I think is essential as it maintains the situation. Otherwise they'd be in 'Moonlighting' territory.
